Artist Statement

As long as I can remember I have loved to create…drawing, painting and sculpting have always been a part of my life. Growing up in Fort Worth afforded me many opportunities to develop in the arts. I studied functional and decorative arts in college and graduated with two art degrees. I am an artist and a high school art teacher, and I love being able to connect my passion to my everyday job. With my art, I seek to juxtapose different forms and ideas to produce new creations as a form of personal expression. There are few things that bring me as much joy as a lump of clay or a blank canvas.
